The Social Experiment

The Social Experiment is a series of ink-transfer acrylic paintings depicting problematic internet culture and trends that teens/tweens are exposed to by popular influencers. Quotes are taken from online news articles and video commentary. The paintings reference the compositions of Norman Rockwell's Sunday Evening Post illustrations of scenes from the 50s and 60s to show the dramatic change in everyday life in the 2020s.
